How funds are spent

The Cancer Society is a non-government organisation totally reliant on community support and donations which ensures the continuation of free cancer services, programmes and resources to those people who require them.

We are proud to be regarded as one of New Zealand's most trusted charities and this is reflected in our fundraising practices:

  • We keep our fundraising expenses well within industry guidelines.
  • We carry out our own fundraising and use volunteers wherever possible to minimise costs.
